MJOT sells hosted inference compute — API quota for a fixed term or a recurring subscription. The following refund policy applies to all purchases; statutory consumer rights (§4) apply in addition to it and prevail where they are stronger.
1. One-time purchases
- Unused — a redeem code that has not been redeemed, or a key that has made zero requests: full refund if requested within 14 days of purchase.
- Partially used — reviewed case by case; where reasonable we refund pro-rata for the unused portion.
- Consumed or expired — not refundable, except where required by law or under §3.
2. Subscriptions
- Cancel anytime with the payment processor — no fee, and your key keeps working until the end of the period already paid. Partial periods are not refunded.
- A renewal charged in error (e.g. you meant to cancel) with zero usage in the new period: refundable if requested within 14 days of the charge.
3. Service failure
If the Service is materially unavailable for an extended period during your paid term, we will extend the term or refund the affected portion — your choice.
4. Statutory rights
Mandatory consumer law in your place of residence may give you withdrawal or cancellation rights that exist independently of this policy and cannot be waived by it; where such rights apply, they prevail. In particular, if your jurisdiction provides a cooling-off period for digital services (such as the EU's 14-day withdrawal right for service contracts), checkout will ask you to expressly request that the service start immediately; you may still withdraw within the statutory period, in which case we may deduct an amount proportional to the service already provided. To exercise a statutory right, contact us within the applicable period; no particular form is required.
5. How to request a refund
Email shinkuan@shinkuan.me with your order id (or subscription id) and, if a key was already issued, its last 4 characters. We respond within a few business days; approved refunds are returned through the payment processor to the original payment method.
